Yellow Brass

One of the highest zinc containing alloy is Yellow Brass, it is well known for its excellent drawability, plating and having blend of 30% zinc & 70% copper. The offered one is extensively used across the industries for making several hot or cold formed products. This copper zinc alloy material is considered absolutely perfect to be used for heat exchangers owing to its brass which has high thermal conductivity. As compare to other forms of the brass alloys, this one is lower in cost and tremendously used due to its deep drawing properties. Further, one another property of offered Yellow Brass is that when it is welded, it may form beta phase particles, reducing corrosion resistance and ductility.

Features:
  • Have 8.47 g/cm3 metric density and 904C meting point
  • The material is recommended to not use for seam welding, techniques such as gas shielded arc welding, butt welding, soldering, brazing, oxyacetylene welding, etc. are suggested
  • Yellow metal is annealed at diverse temperatures, which ranges from 526 and 1026C (800 and 1300F).
  • Known for having high yield strength, shear strength, tensile strength and hardness
